It was with a sense of great relief that the last blue barrel, packed to bursting point and covered in expedition stickers was locked away in the Summit Hotel cage. Most of the barrels are full of climbing gear and we wont see any of this stuff again until Base Camp. The whole day has revolved around packing, charging batteries and a frenzied dash around down town Tamil to collect any last minute items. Tomorrow both teams are off and after a couple of days in Kathmandu we are ready for it. Tonight the whole expedition will eat a final meal together before saying our goodbyes and going our separate ways. Although we should eventually be climbing within sight of one another on Baruntse and Makalu, we wont be reunited until the Main Team returns to UK on 10 June. Tomorrow's entry will have the first seperate reports from the Main Team and the HADT and will come from the Arun Valley and Khumba areas respectively.
