We have had another good day today. Andy Muddiman and Val Singleton
managed to lead out another 300 metres up the ridge from the Col
where Camp 2 is situated. They estimate that they have reached
a high point of 7100 metres and they are now safely ensconced
back in their tent sheltering from a snow storm, which has just
reached us here at Base Camp. At Base Camp today, we have experienced
our hottest day yet, which has probably contributed to the local
storms we are now experiencing.
Colin, Ven, Dick and Ben moved up to Interim Camp today and tomorrow,
Ven and Ben will occupy Camp2 in order to relieve Andy and Val
at the front end while Colin and Dick will do a load carry.
Unfortunately, as no climbers have returned to Base Camp from
the high camps today we have no photographs but we should have
some good photographs from the ridge within the next few days.
